After Run was ordained as a Pentecostal minister by E. Bernard Jordan, Simmons’s spiritual leader, Run began using the stage name “Rev. Run” as his stage name. Jordan gave him the “Protege of the Year Award” in 2004. 

This event served as a symbol of his “Prosperity Ministry.” Reverend Run had given him a brand new Phantom worth $325,000.

His debut performance as Rev. Run came in September 2005, when he was featured on the track “Song 4 Lovers” by the British pop band Liberty X. 

Bill Schacht, working for Aestheticom, directed the music video for that song, which went on to achieve the broadcast airplay chart positions of No. 2 Box UK and No. 4 MTV UK.

Reports indicate that Victoria Simmons, the daughter of Joseph Simmons, passed away shortly after birth due to a congenital condition called omphalocele. This condition caused her vital organs to grow outside the body.

The Simmons family decided to reveal the news while being interviewed by a television team at the hospital. Leading by example, they aimed to exhibit how they united to overcome the tragedy that had struck them as a family.

They were shooting scenes for their family television show. They then went to an adoption hearing to finalize the adoption of Miley Justine Simmons.

Rev Run disclosed this information in a statement made on his behalf by MTV following Victoria Anne’s passing. 

The statement was issued after the death of Victoria Anne. “On September 26, 2006, Victoria Anne Simmons, for some unknown reason, chose to come early and unfortunately did not survive,”

In March of 2007, Justine gave an interview to PEOPLE, saying, “We know Victoria is with God in a wonderful place looking down on us, and that’s probably why we have a lot of blessings going on now.” Victoria passed away in 2006.

According to what Justine writes, “Miley is just as much from my body as Victoria was.” “I want all women to know that adoption is a true miracle, especially for those who are unables to conceive a child or carry a child to term,”
