Tony Evans & Carla Crummie

After the passing of his beloved wife, Dr. Lois Evans, Tony Evans has found love once again with Dr. Carla Crummie, a woman of grace and strength.

There was a moment in early 2023 when Tony Evans and Carla Crummie crossed paths as they attended a Sunday service at Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship. From there, the love story of Tony Evans and Carla Crummie began to unfold.

Early Life

As an urban Baltimore resident during a time of segregation and racial tension, Tony Evans, a prominent American Christian pastor, had an inspiring early life shaped by his family and upbringing.

Although Tony faced discrimination because of his skin color, he persevered and overcame challenges with the help of his parents, Arthur and Evelyn Evans.

In addition to being the oldest sibling in the family, Tony cherished his childhood experiences and developed a strong foundation of faith that would guide him in his subsequent endeavors as a pastor, teacher, author, and speaker throughout his life.

With his ministry, The Urban Alternative, Tony Evans has continued to share the message of Christ.

Tony Evans’s first wife

A devoted mother and wife, Lois Evans was one of the few women to earn the title of notable woman in her own right. They raised four children together: Chrystal, Priscilla, Anthony Jr., and Jonathan.

In 2009, she founded Pastors’ Wives Ministry, a platform that supports and empowers pastors’ wives.

Sadly, Lois Evans passed away on December 30, 2019, after battling biliary cancer.

She has been Evans’ greatest support and encourager throughout his life and ministry, supporting and encouraging him to reach his full potential through thick and thin.
