On Sunday, Hodges claimed that God was using the coronavirus outbreak and Floyd’s death to make America confront its racism.
Hodges apologized to his primarily white but racially mixed flock before Sunday, but he argued.
He stated that isolation “softened” people to hear Floyd’s message.
“God made us shed ourselves. We broke into our houses. “We lost things only to have our hearts softened so that the event in Minneapolis could be history-making,” Hodges remarked. “We lost things only to make history.”
