In today’s competitive business world, most of us cannot fathom starting our own business. It can be said that each one of us is stuck in a rat race, where all we care about is money and financial stability. For the majority of people, this translates to securing a 9 to 5 (or sometimes even longer) job, earning just enough to sustain themselves and their families. However, some individuals think beyond that. These are the people who think out of the box and strive not just for money and fame but the larger benefit i.e. the success of the whole community; and most of the time they are the ones who succeed. Jonathan Gary Sr. is the perfect example of such individuals.
Jonathan Gary Sr is an entrepreneur by both passion and profession. Born and bred in Tallahassee, Florida, Jonathan relocated to West Palm Beach, Florida after completing his Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice to pursue his professional goals. Although he studied law by choice, Jonathan was always interested in real estate business and luckily fate led him to it. In 2013, Jonathan and his started his first business, Vulture Investment Firm LLC, a real estate investment agency. Through this agency, Jonathan has helped several people turn their ‘American Dream’ into reality by helping them own a property in the U.S and also avail lucrative investment opportunities.
After successfully setting up his dream venture, Jonathan moved towards other industries, again hoping to help the community while expanding his portfolio. A year later, in 2014, Jonathan and his wife took up a community housing project that paved the way for his second business, i-KARE Treatment, a rehabilitation center. Through this project, the couple aimed to make a difference in their local community by offering help to adults suffering from substance abuse. The treatment center has helped over a hundred people in successfully overcoming substance abuse and gaining traction in their lives. However, Jonathan’s pursuit of making the community ‘a better place to live in’, as he would say, did not stop here.
Three years down the road, Jonathan started his third business, Earth Florida, which marked the hat trick of his well-established ventures. For those who are unaware, Earth Florida is the largest CBD/Hemp Dispensary in the Florida state. The main goal of Earth Florida is to “restore lives through natural and pure remedies” and make them accessible to those who need them the most. The company is at the forefront of unlocking the potential of cannabidiol and its benefits. It offers a small range of CBD-based products, including concentrates, oils, and edibles.
Jonathan credits his upbringing for his success. He believes that it was his parents who provided him with everything he needed to build a strong base and instilled many valuable principles in his mind that have helped him succeed and become not only a successful entrepreneur but a family man as well. According to Jonathan, a person’s upbringing and access to resources play a vital role in his success. Unfortunately, in today’s world, several young men and teenagers are deprived of these two blessings. To help such men out, Jonathan has founded Manhood Mentorship, a mentorship program that assists teenage boys and men to gain the education and skills they need to become better leaders.
When asked about his ultimate goal, Jonathan Gary Sr said, “I never saw myself as a victim because I was not one. I had a supportive household, got the best education and everything I wanted. My journey was a little harder than most, but with God’s grace, I made it. However, I do know that there are lots of people in this world who are not that strong. My goal is to help such people so that they can also pursue their goals and achieve success in life.”
Jonathan’s aim is to become a support for others, especially those who are less privileged and make this world a better place to live in and he works towards this goal every day with honesty, integrity, and determination. Jonathan is indeed an inspiration for every aspiring entrepreneur who wants to take a different path and do something for the greater good.
